Located at the University of Freiburg, the Research Center for Generational Contracts is one of the leading German providers of expertise in the field of fiscal long-term projections. In this line of research, several surveys – of the general government sector as well as of isolated parafiscal systems - have been carried out. Studies have been conducted on a cross-country level (for the public sector as a whole as well as with a special focus on health and pension systems) and on the national level.
